Some real world examples

From 1 to 10,000….how?

You may have read on our website how we will work with an organisation regardless of their size, but the logistics of that might seem crazy if you’re at either end of that scale.

 

How could we be possibly equipped to cope with all situations?

 

It’s easy really, it’s all about planning, efficiency, knowing what you’re dealing with and lot and lots of experience.

 

Let’s break it down a bit with a few (okay, not real, but representative) examples;

Matt the Mortgage Broker and his team

Case 1 –  There’s 5 of them in the office. They depend on us to ensure everything is working as it should be, they have no IT team, let alone anyone who is interested in IT. All they care about is making sure their customers get the best mortgage possible….and that their IT works.

A team of people who remotely monitor the state of their computers, help out when a printer doesn’t work, setup new users etc.

Emily the Optician

Case 2 – Emily the Optician and the 8 branches she owns. Emily’s team is growing fast. With at least 7 full time staff in each branch she’s up to 56 full time members of staff and 30 part timers. Like Matt, Emily doesn’t have an onsite IT team, so she utilises our helpdesk on a timebank basis of 25 hours per month. This allows her team to call upon us for any IT issues that spring up.

 

We also have a face to face meeting with Emily and her upper management team every 3 months to discuss the sort of issues they’re having, if there’s any recurring issues which crop up, future upgrades that may need to be planned in and just to ensure everyone is happy.

 

Because of the on-the-go nature and high turnover rate of their job, Emily and her team don’t have any on-site servers. After a long consultation period, we setup a fully cloud based solution working with Microsoft Azure to supply them with a secure, scalable working environment.

Acme Insurance Limited

Case 3 – Acme Insurance Limited. With a team of over 400 staff, the nature of our work is a bit different for Acme Insurance Limited. They actually have a team of 3 full time IT staff.

 

We handle the first line of the support for them, things like setting up new users, password resets, “can’t login to outlook” – that sort of thing.

 

Once a support request gets beyond a predefined specification the request is handed back to their onsite team. The same goes for any work that has to be done onsite.

 

We work with a lot of IT teams and can fill the blanks in skillsets, free up time for overworked staff and be an extra set of eyes to sort a problem out.

Mega Accountancy Company Inc

Case 4 –  Mega Accountancy Company Inc (MAC) have over 11,000 members of staff all around the world. Their IT team is bigger than our team, but they still use us for services. You may wonder why that is, but we have a team of consultants at the top of their game in particular areas.

 

We work with companies like MAC to provide a bespoke consultancy and managed services.

 

If we take MAC as an example, it was critical that they enable their employees to be as productive as possible while adhering to strict regulations to ensure they are in complete control of their data.

 

We designed and implemented for them a solution using a combination of Citrix Workspace Services and Citrix ADC (NetScaler) solutions across multiple global resource locations to allow their 11,000 employees a flexible workstyle where they can work from anywhere, anytime, with any device while providing complete control and auditing of their data.

 

We now provide a proactive managed service to support their IT team to ensure the high level of performance across all components of the solutions as well as provide forward thinking strategic advice for continual enhancement of the solution.

 

Their IT team looks after 95% of their IT infrastructure, but they don’t have a team of Citrix Experts ready to step in. That’s where we come in. We help keep an eye on everything, monitoring the performance, and availability to deliver a great user experience. We also work with their team regularly for upgrades and changes.
